Luxfords has signed up to the BAR Code of Practice which covers private domestic removals within the UK

The Code has been drawn up by the British Association of Removers and has successfully achieved full Office of Fair Trading approval under its Consumer Codes Approved Scheme.

The Code sets out the standards that all BAR members must meet in respect of customer service, fair trading, advertising and complaint handling.

Compliance with the Code is mandatory upon all members of the Association. Its purpose is to maintain and, where necessary, raise standards of practice to ensure that our customers receive the most efficient and trouble-free move possible.

We particularly draw your attention to Section 6 relating to Cancellation of Significant Alternation by the Member and the provisions for refunding pre-payments and deposits.

Please note that unless we have been seriously inconvenienced, we would rarely resort to Point 6 above and, having accepted our contract, provided you move with us eventually, we will endeavour to avoid levying any cancellation charges.
