The British Association of Removers (BAR)The British Association of Removers (BAR) is the recognised trade association for our industry, striving to ensure its members uphold their commitment to providing a professional service to customers.

This year, BAR introduced a Domestic Remover of the Year Competition, which Luxfords entered. The competition is overseen by an experienced and independent panel of judges including representatives from the Office of Fair Trading. Competition from other member companies has been extremely strong, but Luxfords are proud to say that we are the first winners of this prestigious competition, awarded for continually providing professional excellence and outstanding customer service in the field of domestic removals.

Staff with NVQ certificatesLuxfords recently entered the Government's Train to Gain scheme and are both pleased and proud to say that all our Operational staff have successfully completed their NVQ Level II in Customer Care.

As far as we are aware, we are the only domestic removal company nationwide whose entire staff hold these qualifications. If you chose to use our services, we're confident that our staff will look after not just your belongings, but you, too!

In keeping with our tradition of supporting our local community, Luxfords has, for a number of years, sponsored the St Georges Hill Lawn Tennis Club's (www.stgeorgeshillclub.co.uk) men's first squash team.

The Weybridge based team compete in the prestigious Surrey Cup which, we are proud to confirm, they have won for the 2008/9 season.

Members of the St Georges club will be familiar with the work of Graham Aston who tirelessly works in arranging people's unwanted and used clothing, bedding and tools to be shipped out to some of the poorer areas of Paraguay where he oversees the distribution of these goods to those people who most need them.

For the last five years, Luxfords has been pleased to contribute to this worthy cause by receiving, collating and shipping these items to Paraguay.

Paraguay 5 was recently loaded in the presence of both Graham Aston, whose hard work has resulted in this project being the success it is, and Councillor James Vickers, the Mayor of Elmbridge, who was impressed at the generosity of people who have donated to this good cause on such a regular basis.
